East Surrey Walkers

Walking for Pleasure

Another Walking Wounded Tea Party

Adam very kindly hosted the recent Walking Wounded Tea Party on a sunny afternoon on October 2nd. We were warmly welcomed by Adam and many of us took the opportunity to admire his colourful and neatly manicured garden.

In all there were 22 members present, currently walkers 'resting ‘ for a variety of reasons. Walkers had travelled from Hove, South London and locally. Once inside it was lovely to see many familiar faces and a few I had the pleasure of being introduced to. In particular meeting Margaret, one of the co- founders of ESW, was very interesting and she explained the background to setting up our particular walking group. There was much hilarity, exchange of photographs and reminiscing.

A super spread of food was laid out in readiness for the invasion. Copious cups of tea as well ensured that we all enjoyed a lovely and memorable afternoon. Adam, Sue and Barbara worked tirelessly to provide for us all. Very many thanks.
