East Surrey Walkers

Walking for Pleasure

Well we were lucky, the weather was kind to us for our day out, dry and bright all day. I led 22 people on a 5 mile walk, with a slight diversion when the tow path we were following was shut for excavation work! But google maps (and Ron Wellbrook) came to our rescue. Tony Pearson led a small group on a longer walk around the creeks and 14 members decided to spend the day exploring the historical buildings, the waterside antique shops and of course the Shepherd & Neame Brewery.

There were some interesting blue plaques on some of the buildings - including this amusing one spotted by Angela & David Balfour.

Thanks to everyone for signing up to the trip and making it possible
