It is also with great sadness that I have to report that Arthur was disappointed in us, that despite all his work for the group, in the 2 years of his illness he had no contact from East Surrey Walkers. I must take responsibility for that in the last year and can only say that it is obviously important for us all to keep in contact with folk when they are having difficulties, despite our natural reticence to intrude in a deeply personal situation.
The funeral is scheduled for Friday January 16th at 14.00 at St Peter’s Church Limpsfield Village and walkers are welcome to attend but the wake afterwards is a private, family event.
