East Surrey Walkers Holiday to Exmoor 17 -22 September 2026
Tony Pearson is organising a walking holiday, staying at the Simonsbath House Hotel for 5 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast, packed lunch, evening meal and evening entertainment.This is a historic 17th Century House set in Exmoor National Park, a unique landscape of moorland, woodland and valleys with the coast nearby. Due to the limited size of the hotel, the group is limited to 15 and there will be 4 days of walking with use of a mini bus each day. The walks will tend to be between 6.5 - 8 miles so the holiday is likely to be of interest to those members who go on our moderate walks.
The price is: Double / Twin £522.50 p.p., single occupancy £625.00. In addition to bedrooms in the main house, there are two adjoining cottages sleeping 2 and 3 persons.The hotel (https://simonsbath-house.hotels-in-somerset.com/en/) dates from the 1600s, is in a beautiful setting and those members who have been there in the past have been very satisfied with the amenities. The food has generally been excellent and Andrew, the host, is very knowledgeable about Exmoor and very helpful in advising on suitable walking routes. A booking deposit of £50 will be required in due course.
