Walking for Pleasure

SW Isle of Purbeck Walking Break🥾

Our walking group has just returned from a fantastic four-day getaway to the beautiful Isle of Purbeck. The weather was kind to us, too!

We certainly made the most of our time clocking up a total of 6 walks across the trip, 3 short walks which were quite challenging in places and 3 longer more demanding routes to really test our boots.

The scenery was spectacular, taking us past the breathtaking white cliffs at Old Harry Rocks, the sweeping sands of Studland, the dramatic coastline down at Dancing Ledge and the historic ruins of Corfe Castle.

Aside from the miles it was all about the fantastic company and some seriously competitive quiz nights back at base in the evenings.

The Pines Hotel looked after us very well, rooms were excellent, large varied breakfasts, the evening meal was incredible and the daily packed lunches kept us fuelled up on the trails.

A huge thanks to our guides who expertly guided us through a wonderful few days and a special thanks to Judith for organising such a splendid getaway
